Wound Care Provider

South Eastern Wyoming. (Casper, Cheyenne, Laramie, Rock Springs, Rawlins areas)
Full-time or Part-time Contract | Salary: Negotiable | Possible relocation offered if you want to move to the South East Side of Wyoming (Casper, Cheyenne, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock Springs)
10 – 50 per week | Day shift | Monday to Friday | Weekends as needed
Job Description
  • Provide specialized wound care to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols
  • Assess and evaluate patient wounds, including documenting wound characteristics, measurements, and progress
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Perform dressing changes, debridement, and other wound care procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and strategies for prevention
  • Utilize electronic health record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Cerner) to document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of wound care principles, techniques, and best practices
  • Ability to accurately assess and evaluate wounds, including understanding of different wound types (e.g., pressure ulcers, surgical wounds)
  • Familiarity with medical imaging and laboratory results interpretation related to wound healing
  • Experience in health coaching and patient education related to wound care management
  • Work with PCP, Home Health Companies, etc and communicate orders.
